Excitement and fear

I was so afraid to click the mouse today. My first review on a blog. What if people hate my book? What would I do then? I love my characters, so fear made me forget. Then I remembered all the amazing news I had. I signed a contract with Corvallis Press yesterday. My straight forward contemporary romance will be out! I was so excited. Woot! Woot!

Then I circled back to my review for Mything You. I had to look. I’d deal if I had too.

I looked at the banner without scrolling down for another minute, then read. Woot! Woot! You can read my interview on her site. But her review made me smile from ear to ear.

My Review

I really don’t know where to begin. How about, this is hands down one of the best books I have read this year! This is not an exaggeration. I’m so happy and excited about this book I might ramble in this review (be warned).

I love Greek Mythology. I absolutely adore it, so any book that I can find the has some form of Greek Mythology in it, you will find on my bookshelf. So when I found out that this was was a retelling type thing of Theseus I was on board. Another thing you might not know about me is I am a Romance Addict. If there is romance in it I will read it. And this book was bursting with romance, I loved it.

Ari was an awesome heroine! She was strong willed and kind hearted. She wasn’t whinny so I was never really annoyed with her. If Ari had a problem she had a good cause to have it so it’s nice to have a capable heroine who won’t annoy the reader every other page. Now Theseus! OH MY GOSH!!! I am saying this now and staking my claim, ladies back off this man is mine. He is officially my top book boyfriend. This guy had it all. He was sweet and strong and handsome and honorable and respectful and protective and an all male alpha-male. This guy made me swoon almost every time he talked. The way he treated Ari was amazing. All he did was respect her and care for her. I would say he was a man before her time, but even men nowadays rarely treat women the way Theseus did.

I would suggest this book to anyone who loves a good romance or loves mythology. Where should read this? Anywhere you want as long as you have time to finish the book in one sitting, you will want that I promise.”

Now I can go back and write.
Also looking forward for the election to be over. I voted. But I hate those political commercials. Someone make the commercial bashing stop. C’est la vie. I’m heading back to my writing cave now.
