Freedom Hop

How could I not join a Freedom Hop? I think of Boston, the fireworks, our flag, our freedoms and our military. I was truly blessed to be born here. I’ve been a secretary, worked in engineering, a lawyer, and now I’m a US Government teacher. I recently read Miami was one of the most patriotic cities in the country, though I wished that translated into studying for the AP Government test. This year I’m confident my students did amazing, but I’ve taught this subject for years now.

In the fall I do have a romance book based on an election coming out. It’s the third installment of the Collins brothers. Gerard is more legal minded and he’d running for office then. In the second book, Doctor Daniel Collins falls in love with the tempestuous Kate. But in the first book, it’s Sean and Gigi. It’s the story of lovers torn apart at it’s heart. Gigi has to learn to stick up for herself more, and she is on path to reunite with Sean, her first love.

Anyhow that’s my books. In real life, it’s my first 4th as a wife. I’m not quite sure what we’re doing for the holidays. Last year I did nothing. How terrible is that? I live in suburbia of Miami and there is no local place to go watch the official fireworks. And as my husband wasn’t born here, I’m thinking we ought to go to a picnic. Unsure if that’s happening, but I’ll call my mom when she’s free to see what party she is planning. (Mom is always planning a party.)

Jay and Penny in Favorite Coffee, Favorite Crush live in Miami, but I never thought to give them a what to do issue for the 4th. Unlike my life, Jay is super rich and can do anything. The budget of saving for a house will keep us grounded.

I wish I had my author swag on me, but it’s coming. Then I’m making a big push to get people who want to be on the street team. I’ll email everyone on the newsletter first. So sign up for the newsletter if you’re interested.

  1. Celebrating NYE, go dancing, dinner and celebrate welcoming the New Year with your husband with a midnight kiss.

  2. Most fun thing I did was a mystery weekend at a nice lodge type hotel. Dinner, drinks, the mystery, then dancing and more drinks and no need to drive home. Nce brunch the next (late) morning and then home.

  3. I agree with everyone else. You can’t go wrong with dinner, champagne, and kissing your partner at midnight!

  4. My favorite NYE celebration was when we set up a bonfire and had a huge crab boil. Great food, beer, fireworks and a champagne toast. It was a blast.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  6. Happy 4th of July! I’m so blessed to have the freedom to pick and chose what to read! And I love romance from sweet to erotica!
What to do on new years eve? forget the crowd and parties. Nothing is more special that a night in with the one you love. Have a nice dinner, maybe for later in the evening have some snacks already made up. But make your own fireworks at home. I always heard that what you do on Jan.1 will be what happens the rest of the year! By golly make it be hot sex, and why not hot kinky sex at that! Don’t jinx the new year! :O
