The alien woman nodded again. “The emperor has been deposed. His tactics were improper. We want peace, but first my daughter.”

General Aurelius nodded. “How can we trust you to keep your word? Stand down your weapons.”

“Your people are advanced…of course.” She turned to the others on her ship. “Stand down.”

“In a few weeks my people will send a group to negotiate peace between us,” the general said. “You will not harm anyone on the mission.”

“My daughter first,” the alien insisted.

“Do you agree to peace talks?” When she nodded in agreement, Aurelius turned to Cross. “Have her brought up.”

Cross had a single female officer get in the airlock with the alien woman in her space suit. He refused to take any chances.

Aurelius addressed the screen again. “She came on board willingly. We did not force her. You can take her back.”

The woman disappeared from sight. Major Nelson clicked the science station to capture every moment of the disappearance. Cracking that technological advancement might help the humans.

The woman on the screen nodded. “You kept your word. We’ll keep ours. Ask for the High Priestess of Rewa.”

“Rewa?”
