So I am late to the mom party. Long time readers of the blog would know I never expected to ever be one, but then my entire life changed and the best thing in my life happened. She’s pretty awesome.

So when I received a video call from my husband on Monday, I was floored. There I was tutoring students and then I saw the inside of my car. They were in a car accident. My husband couldn’t tell me exactly where they were though he told me an avenue and messed up the cross street. (This is rather important.)

So I finally arrived on scene when the police are moving the cars and there is my baby in my husband’s arms. Once she was in my arms, I could breathe.

So I’ve not done anything for my book release this week. My Monday and Tuesday were doctor’s appointments for her and my husband. This morning I talked to my daughter’s primary care physician and she helped me cope. I can now talk about it. So my car was totalled. Car seats work!

So this has been my week. Secret Dad is out as well. I loved that novel and the reviews I’m seeing on sites make me happy. It was the one thing I could think about outside my family, but mostly this week I was thankful for everything and everyone on in my life.

I don’t know how my life would be without my smiling girl or my husband. I don’t want to. Anyhow I’ll be back to book news soon, but this was my scary world of the week.

(Side note: The picture of my girl was taken before but I love that smile and it makes me happy.)
