Quick Note I finished writing Secret Keeper.
Anthony and Emily Fletcher’s book will start getting a release plan soon. I’ve not done a release plan in years so bear with me. I think I’ll do a cover reveal, send to any old reviewers who want to read it and do the traditional marketing plan.
But I’m so excited. I finished the manuscript. This one took me years if I am truly honest. Part of my writing block was because I had never made a decision on Peter and what happened to him and Belle and Jennifer. My instincts were one way but another part of me wanted to honor traditions. So I held off.
And I knew Anthony’s book which this is was my way of coming to a decision so I never could write his either.
And in case you don’t remember Emily Fletcher, she was Belle’s maid of honor. Anthony didn’t meet her as he wasn’t at Peter and Belle’s wedding. So they meet now.
Which means I honestly needed to make a choice one way or another and I did.
So next up I’m going to edit Peter and Jennifer’s back story which starts and ends before the House or Morgan to give you the full background.
With my full time career in real estate, my growing plans to teach real estate, I still need to fit in this writing because I love stories.
I can’t wait to tomorrow now to figure out the marketing plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Secret Keeper about?
Secret Keeper is a romance novel centered on Anthony and Emily Fletcher. Emily Fletcher was previously introduced as Belle’s maid of honor in an earlier book. Anthony and Emily never met before because Anthony was not present at Peter and Belle’s wedding, so their story begins with that first meeting. The book is part of a connected series involving characters like Peter, Belle, and Jennifer.
How did the author finally finish writing Secret Keeper after years of writer’s block?
The author broke through years of writer’s block by making a long-avoided decision about what happened to characters Peter, Belle, and Jennifer. Because Anthony’s story in Secret Keeper was directly tied to that unresolved storyline, the author could not write his book until committing to a definitive direction. Once that choice was made, the manuscript could finally be completed.
Should Peter and Jennifer’s backstory be read before or after Secret Keeper?
Based on the author’s plan, Peter and Jennifer’s backstory — which begins and ends before the events of The House of Morgan — is being edited as a companion piece to provide full background context. It appears intended to complement Secret Keeper rather than strictly precede it, but reading it would give readers deeper insight into the series’ foundational characters and events.
