I am so incredibly excited about this new venture into audio on YouTube. It honestly feels like the future has arrived, and being able to share these stories with you in a whole new format is invigorating my entire creative process. There is something so immediate and deeply personal about audio; it brings the tension, the whispers, and those heart-stopping romantic moments to life in a way that text on a page sometimes just can’t match. Hearing the characters’ voices makes them feel more real than ever, and I am loving every second of it.

The Roadmap Ahead: Billionaires and Audiobooks
While I’m loving these YouTube chapters, they are just the appetizer. I know many of you are asking for the full experience, and believe me, I am working tirelessly to make that happen.
The goal—and I am crossing all my fingers and toes here—is to have the full audiobooks for all five books in this series completed and ready to drop into your ears around March or April. It’s a massive undertaking, lots of hours in the studio making sure every tone and inflection is perfect, but I am committed to getting these to you this spring.
But you don’t have to wait until spring for a new obsession.
Do you have your calendars marked? Because this coming Tuesday is the day! Protocol Billionaire is officially released into the wild. I cannot wait for you all to get your hands on this story. It’s got everything we love—high stakes, intense passion, and that irresistible billionaire allure. The countdown is officially on.
Stepping Back in Time to Move Forward
Now, I want to talk a little bit about my creative process lately. It’s been an interesting journey balancing the new releases with these audiobook projects that require me to revisit my older work.
To prepare for these audio recordings and to keep the universe consistent as I write new material, I’ve been deep-diving into the backlist. I’ve been re-reading the original books, and oh my goodness, it has been such an eye-opening experience.
Honestly, reading the old books is really helping me get back into the headspace of these characters. It’s like visiting old friends you haven’t seen in years—you immediately fall right back into that familiar dynamic.
Just recently, I was re-reading the opening of the series—the scenes you’re hearing now on YouTube—where Alice and John reunite at Mitch Morgan’s funeral. It was so powerful to step back into Alice’s shoes in that moment.
Reading that chapter again, I remembered exactly why I love Alice Collins. She’s walking into a lion’s den. Her family is complicated—her mother is so incredibly stubborn about the Morgans, holding onto old grudges even when the family farm’s survival depends on their contracts. Alice has this immense weight on her shoulders, trying to be the responsible one, trying to secure their future, all while walking into a funeral full of press, power players, and people who used to hurt her.
And then, there’s John.
Re-reading that moment they collide—literally—at the funeral brought all those original sparks back. It reminded me of why Alice and John are such an undeniable “end game” couple. Even years later, even amidst grief and resentment and the massive divide between their social standings, the physical pull between them is magnetic.
I loved rediscovering John’s protective nature in that scene. He’s grieving, he’s angry at his father, he doesn’t want to be part of Peter’s “happy family” charade, but the second he sees Alice, he focuses on her. He remembers her kindness to his sister, Vicki. And most importantly, he defends her.
When I re-read that awful moment where Jennifer Gonzales calls Alice “the help” and snarks about her off-the-rack dress, my blood boiled all over again on Alice’s behalf. But hearing John immediately shut Jennifer down and compliment Alice? Swoon. It’s those little moments that lay the foundation for everything that comes later between them. It grounded me in their romance all over again.
The Challenge of Peter and Jennifer
Speaking of Jennifer… re-reading those early scenes where she is just so casually cruel has been absolutely vital for what I’m working on currently.
As many of you know, I’m deep in the trenches writing Secret Obsession, which dives into Peter and Jennifer’s backstory.
Listen, it is hard to write Jennifer sometimes! When you read her in Alice’s story, she seems irredeemable. She’s vain, she’s mean, and she clings to Peter for status. Going back and reading those interactions at the funeral, seeing her through Alice’s eyes, really highlights the challenge I have in giving her depth.
But it also gives me the clues I need. Why is she like that? What insecurity is driving that need to belittle others? And what in the world did Peter see in her back then, besides her looks? Re-visiting the “villains” of the past stories is essential to turning them into the protagonists of their own stories. It’s a fun challenge, and I think you’re going to be surprised by where their story goes.
